For those of you who don't understand what the categories mean, here's an insightful graphic from the NWS.

"NHC will initiate advisories at 11 am EDT on Potential Tropical Cyclone Six, located east-southeast of the Cabo Verde Islands."

I present to you, Invest 90L... or as NOAA is starting to call it, "Potential Tropical Cyclone 6."

Alright, Weather Abby Activated.

The atlantic hurricane season is expected to warm up a bit very very soon.

Looks like regardless of what happens tropical-weather wise, there's gonna be a LOT of rain anywhere from Southeastern louisiana to western florida.

Locally heavy
rainfall is forecast across western Cuba and over much of Florida
and the northern Gulf Coast into early next week.
* Formation chance through 48 hours...high...70 percent.
* Formation chance through 5 days...high...90 percent.

105 AM EDT Fri May 25 2018

A broad surface low centered near the east coast of the Yucatan
Peninsula of Mexico is producing widespread, but disorganized,
shower and thunderstorm activity. Environmental conditions
are forecast to become more conducive for development, and a
subtropical or tropical depression or storm is likely to form during
the weekend over the eastern or central Gulf of Mexico.

Alrighty, since we have potential Tropical Depression on our hands this Memorial Day weekend, I feel it's necessary to come back to this account.
