What tips do you all have for buying a Raspberry Pi (+kit) to be a desktop computer to tide me over until I've got the money for a full-power system (will either by an or some Linux-only boxโ€” I just can't see myself enjoying maintaining a now that I'm 5 years out of college)?

@jlamar Order one of the kits I see on Amazon or is there a better part list for me to buy? Seems the kits have the enclosure and usually a power supply and maybe occasionally an SD card as well.

@USBloveDog personally I have purchased the raspis by themselves and used power supplies, micro SD cards, cables and keyboards I already had.

Usually I use paper clips to attach it behind the display or out of site.

@USBloveDog it really depends what in the kit you already have.

@jlamar Iโ€™ve got my keyboard collection and a mouse+monitor, but Iโ€™d need another power supply and probably a larger/faster SD card (Iโ€™ve got a 16GB one in a camera I never use)
