@SuricrasiaOnline This is just an observation I have nowhere else to put, but I wonder about the overlap between Empty Spaces and players of the RPG Nechronica, cus there's so much conceptual overlap between that universe and that game, but I have no evidence that it isn't just a weird case of paralellism.
@SuricrasiaOnline Nechronica is a japanese RPG where the premise is that it is the post-apocalypse, everyone is dead except for a handful of necromancer who uses reanimated zombie dolls to fight with each other, and the players play as one of those dolls.
It's not exactly like the whole business with witches and dolls, but it does feel like someone stumbled on a similar conceptual territory from a whole different angle.
