@SuricrasiaOnline solid 0, -1
never used a yamaha musical instrument and I have used a yamaha motorcycle, but I use bic pens and lighters equally (rarely)

Guinness Beer vs Guinness Books of records has a somewhat similar vibe

@ocean @SuricrasiaOnline huh, they are related the same way the others are. Never knew. What a world.

@SuricrasiaOnline i'm in the middle point between "hitachi chips" and "hitachi vibrators"

@SuricrasiaOnline does "yamaha vocaloid" get lumped in with "yamaha pianos" or does that go off along a complex third axis 🤔

hitachi commercial machinery vs hitachi "wand" "massager" i have a yamaha keyboards jacket but people keep thinking it's a yamaha motorcycles jacket it's fucked up idk why i have it my uncle gave it to me or smth it's got the name of a synthesizer embroidered it's really weird

@SuricrasiaOnline I want one of these but for Hitachi, who made the Magic Wand and Electron Microscopes

@SuricrasiaOnline this maps exactly to the goth/prep/nerd/jock alignment chart

At the far corner of pianos/lighters, you find the hardcore experimental musicians, following in the steps of Annea Lockwood, setting pianos on fire.

Lockwood's most infamous piece of the 60s or 70s is called 'Tiger Balm', which includes a lewd recording.

I had heard of it, but never actually heard it when I met Lockwood in San Francisco having a coldest-winter-I-ever-spent experience of foggy summer weather, so lent her a coat for a few days and she posted me the record!

It was not shocking at all, but a rather nice collage, which is no longer out of print.

Anyway, Lockwood was possibly the most radical of all the boomer composers and everyone should know her excellent music.

im a boring 1/-1 type.....
but... i want to spread the awareness that also BIC lighters can be refilled with gas (German site with a short, self-explaining video)

@SuricrasiaOnline weird that motorcycles are on the bottom when they are clearly tops.

@SuricrasiaOnline Nidec Sankyo have got them beaten. Their products page - - features all sorts of serious industrial and electronic kit. But under "Other Products" is something entirely charming ...

@SuricrasiaOnline third axis is hitachi and it goes from magic wand to heavy construction vehicle
