we should, as a society, develop a custom to go "bla bla bla bla bla" and cover our eyes whenever we encounter an advertisement
@SuricrasiaOnline one time a friend asked me to stop trying to talk over the advertising reel "because someone else might want to watch it"
@robotcarsley @SuricrasiaOnline it’s a whole thing for people who aren’t into sportsball to watch the Superb Owl solely for the ads
policing, guns
@SuricrasiaOnline I wonder how far movie theatres would try and push back on that before they give up.
I imagine them having guards with assault rifles in the front row and then they wonder why no one wants to go to the movies anymore.
@SuricrasiaOnline Or: giving it the finger and/or mocking it!
@SuricrasiaOnline my daughter just screams "ADS! ADS! ADS!"
to be fair, she probably does that, because I do that...
@meena @SuricrasiaOnline parenting goals
@theotheroracle @SuricrasiaOnline can't wait for her to goto school so i can get regular calls from teachers who don't know how to use computers and the internet, and yet insist on showing "educational" YouTube videos in class
I'm just imagining a theatre full of people doing this during the intro ads to a movie
