I kinda wanna add a specific place on the suricrasia online website for my stories and call it "artefacts from PORTAL" or something
@SuricrasiaOnline My one not-criticism-but-more-just-me-saying-"darn" of this is that I use "artefact" to mean "the not-necessily-intended fingerprints of a process or medium on a created object" (as distinct from "artifact", which has the standard definition).
@SuricrasiaOnline Artefacts from PORTAL, such as how things retrieved from PORTAL often reflect light back at colors/frequencies/per-photon-energy-levels which are not actually possible to achieve with the atoms/molecules of our universe.
@gaditb (I didn't read the body because I don't wanna get spoiled on some of the stephenson books I haven't read yet)
@SuricrasiaOnline (Sorry there isn't a good way to answer this without at least giving WHAT thing is a spoiler to SOMETHING, even without that "something" revealed.)
The body is just citing which book I took a thing from for the previous post.
@SuricrasiaOnline (So it just says "(Shamelessly stolen from ___)", and if you've read it (and remember that bit, I guess) then you can fill in the blank yourself prolly.)
