ok i feel like i've asked this before but
does anyone have an extremely clear guide to changing your name on your passport in the UK
all the government site pages seem to go circularly and looking at all the forms is making me feel dizzy and idk what kind of solicitor i'm meant to contact to witness the deed poll or what counts as a close relative for that purpose
Dear Ruby devs and game devs. I have a crazy announcement I want to share. Please boost.
Last week I released A Dark Room to the Nintendo Switch. Within the game, I also shipped a Ruby interpreter and a code editor as an Easter Egg.
*This Easter Egg effectively turns every consumer spec-ed Nintendo Switch into a Ruby Machine.*
1. Download A Dark Room from the US/EU.
2. Connect a USB keyboard and press the “~” key.
3. Follow the onscreen instructions.
If there's a cellphone deity, I clearly made them angry, because this week:
- My cellphone screen broke.
- Getting it replaced costs as much as a new phone.
- Tried to get a spare and DIY, but it won't get delivered.
- Got a new phone. Came broken.
- My spare phone is a bit flaky. As in I need to reboot it several times until it accepts my sim card.
Power to you. Stripes of Pride updated with bi and aro versions, and a new pan version!

EU falsely calls Internet Archive's major collection pages, scholarly articles, and copies of US government publications "terrorism" and demands they be taken down from the internet: https://blog.archive.org/2019/04/10/official-eu-agencies-falsely-report-more-than-550-archive-org-urls-as-terrorist-content/
(see also https://boingboing.net/2019/04/11/one-hour-service.html).
The EU is about to vote to require terrorism takedowns to happen within an hour, and these requests are coming on European times when all Internet Archive employees (in California) are asleep, making manual review of these bad takedowns difficult.
While everyone else made very serious and polished games for vampire jam, a friend and I made this!
Codes, makes games, writes for mata.juegos. Is currently in a love-hate relationship with Twine. Opinions my own.
