The UI framework I'm using for the LiSE frontend is #kivy, which has a lot going for it but doesn't support screenreaders
What it has is a provider system that would let it abstract away the differences between platform specific APIs, if they can design an API for Kivy apps to use that can be implemented upon all the target platforms
They don't have anyone familiar with those platform-specific APIs
