Let It Die/Killer is Dead's director changed his username and bio.
he used to be @GrasshopperShin now he's @hideyukishin now, he removed grasshopper manufacture from his bio, and ghm moved into a new office in another city not owned by gungho
2 weeks ago while the Let it Die devs stayed in the Gungho office
ghm might be splitting from gungho
So there's an old Japanese tabletop RPG with an English fan translation that I've wanted to play for ages and that I figure ya'll might dig. It's called Witch Quest. It's very much in the old school magical girl style of focusing around the players using their magic to help people, and is heavily inspired by Kiki's Delivery Service. 🎲 Players are paired up as young witches and their magical talking cat partners . It's very, very cute and wholesome. Only Book 2 is translated, but that's were all the rules are since Book 1 was basically a campaign transcript.
I'd really love to play it with ya'll sometime.
@fun it only seems like a bad thing because dark souls is hyped up as "DIE OVER AND OVER UNTIL YOU WIN COWARDS" that nerd boys didn't view the mechanic as what it actually was, which is the game telling you to stop for a bit after you die, think about where you went wrong, and spend some time helping other players get through tough sections
@fun also DS2 does the lowering life bar while you're hollowed to incentivize helping other players (SINCE CO-OP IS AN IMPORTANT PART OF THE GAME THAT TRYHARD FANS ALWAYS GLOSS OVER), if you're hollow and you put down a summon sign to help another player get through a bit that they're stuck on, you get revived as a human with your full lifebar back. So if you die, instead of banging your head against the wall you can help another player get through the bit they're stuck on
Mecha and Grasshopper Manufacture
i will never shut the fuck up about Kill the Past
