things you don't expect to see on your way to work: hot air balloon landed right next to your building

question for people work with jewelry, I've got a necklace I adore but I've had it since high school it, if not earlier and the court is falling apart.

What would be the right search term for a new cord kind of like this? Are there any brands that I should be using, or is it just kind of interchangeable?

Another balloon out today! But the same one as yesterday either

Nice day for a flight

(Yes, those tiny things are mountains, they look a lot smaller when you are most of the way up them)

@Aradia I'm giving you a picture of Indigo Carmine, since it's really cool and can be used to do awesome stuff, but also beautiful in every way even the name

Show thread

@AliceRedgrave You get "Tungsten Blue"

Because you are really cool and beautiful, but have that whole fey thing at times, which the name in qoutes and unlikely backstory and fancy writing made me think of

Show thread

@starkatt You get Fast Red. Red Fox, plus you always seem to be going at Mach 3 even when sitting still, you've always got something on the go

Show thread

@Kyresti You make me think of this vintage thorium nitrate.

It's spicy and cool and will trick you and crystallize beautifully, but actually it stole all the nitrates and magically made all the cool parts of the reaction vanish

Dear ducks, I know it's raining but I don't think that puddle is going to get much deeper

you know that there's an entire freaking lake not far from here, right? I don't think the Ogopogo eats birds as small as you two

I'm sorry, is it telling me that I need to use the Insert-pageup/down block of keys to control the jump jets?!?!?!?

......Did unbranded vending machines like this every exist? In BEIGE?

The engineers are doing crimes against nature (or at least metal) again....

if I were an eyewash station I would simply not clog and force the technician to send emails so that someone comes and cleans it

Welp, this lab book does a terrible job with bleed through. you think at like $26 per book they could make the pages not bleed through, most of the $20 ones that I used as an undergrad weren't nearly this bad. it would show a bit on the next page, but it wouldn't bleed all the way through to the page opposite that!
