Air Canada is Canada's worst airline. Westjet is a lot better, and usually cheaper, which when you are me is really important.

@memnus Well, I've flown on...United and Delta, and I'd say they are about the same as Air Canada? But it has been a LONG time since I flew Air Canada. We had a couple years in a row of bad stuff and gave up with them. Once our flight was delayed like, 10 hours, and they lost our luggage once...

Westjet we've used ever since without a problem, I think they lost my luggage once they brought it to me at work.

Plus they give their employees stock options.

@Canageek Yeah, I fly Alaska or JetBlue when at all possible, and as long as I stick to the west coast (or large cities to the east) I can get away with it. International gets a lot harder, though.

@memnus Ug, at least you don't have to deal with the shitshown when Ontario added an X gender option, without making sure Transport Canada was OK with that. Transport Canada's ID guidelines still said there needed to be M or F on the ID.

I think Transport Canada changed their guidelines, but that is the sort of thing you governments should work out ahead of time.

@Canageek Oh jeeze, my state has X available on birth certificates but not driver's licenses, which has gotta be a mess already. I wasn't born here and decided not to hold out for that to get ported between systems.
