My handwriting is really bad (Studying crystallography while my fluorescence spectrum runs) #RealTimeChem
@Canageek or is this from inorganic?
@Canageek Seems like you should have the time to go slow and write nice? I am missing something.
In lecture I would write my usual crab-writing and word maps on the back of yesterday. When I went back to the dorm I would transcribe it pretty on today.
Those notes were usable for 30 years. I'm not kidding.
Plus the reinforcement for memory.
I lucked into a technique recognized today.
DO make hand notes
Don't type into a laptop
DO review the same day
DO review the next day
@gemlog This is for my knowledge, not a class.
The bad writing is due to a learning disability. I have to go painfully slowly to make it more legible.
@Canageek NO!
I was NOT complaining about your writing!! NO! Don't think that please.
I was saying how I normally write (crappy) and how i overcame it myself.
I find your posts are just fine for reading.
I'm the same way. Which is why I had to take notes twice. Once in real time and once, as you say, painfully slow, to make them legible. But that also is the given way to learn new material. 3 gaps. So we win through our inability to write nice :-)
@gemlog yeah, that helps
@Canageek neater than mine...
@Canageek Hey look you found my old lab notebook!
Except the handwriting is neater.
@Canageek I miss P Chem
