Dang, my whole Nextcloud folder compressed into just a 133GB tarball! 2 gigs of that is ebooks (pdfs and epubs), and the rest is photos, music, and audiobooks, among other things. Amazing...

I should move my games to this drive to clear up space on my main drive too!

I got a new 8TB hard drive for Christmas, and I'm so excited to back up all my stuff!!

Most modern electric blankets have an automatic 10 hour shutoff, but I want one with an option to set smaller time increments. Having it on all night makes me sweaty, but if I could have like a 1 hour shutoff timer, that would be great! A 1, 5, 10 hour shutoff would be perfect!

I've been posting (relatively) a lot on here recently! That means I'm due for another completely quiet spell in about a week. Happy holidays!

some of you may be visited by three ghosts tonight so in case that happens, here are some tips:

* don't be a smart ass. ghosts hate a smart ass

* don't ask the ghosts to show you your neighbors having sex

* don't eat the ghost food

* just have fun with it!

Hoo boy, reading the introduction for one of Cory Doctorow's short story collections is making me think that this collection is gonna be a slap of nostalgia right in the face. I think this because the intro mentions LOLCats and... wow

One of the integration plug-ins grabbed like 150 games from my Itchio library, but I don't know how Itch handles the mega bundles from the past couple years. I get that GOG wouldn't be able to parse a lot of the PDF content, but I'd still like for all the video games to show up!

GOG Galaxy is awfully bloated, but it's the one and only way I've found to automatically collect every digital game I have access to into one place (including my Nintendo Switch library, though it's manual)! I hope they get Itchio support working soon.

Good morning folk and friends from far and near!

Today I wish you something that goes better than expected ✨

We got word that Peekaboo didn't need any teeth extracted! They're just gonna seal the ones that were questionable and she'll be ready to take home in a couple hours! We're very relieved 😮‍💨

We're bringing her in now. She'll be going under soon, so please keep them coming! 💖

My sweet Peekaboo is going under anesthesia for a dental procedure that might extract up to 3 teeth (depending on x-ray results) in just 7 hours 😢 Please send any and all thoughts, prayers, and good vibes her way so it goes perfectly well! 💖

Website Idea: a trustworthy-sounding domain name (eg. realtruth.facts or something) that people can use to cite fake information. If someone visits the site, it congratulates them for checking the source and informs them whatever was cited was fake.

Omg Legendary Frog still has a website with their old animations up?!

The Library of Alamantia has every last one of the Animorphs books because I downloaded and catalogued all of them in a collector's fervor the moment I learned K.A. Applegate had provided them for free. I didn't even care much about it when I was a kid, but I have them all now!

Do you listen to music?

To explain the question, I almost never listen to music, but it seems like almost everyone around me does. It seems like listening to music is just a thing people normally do.

So, I was wondering how many other people here don't listen to music.

And yes, of course there's music in some elevators or stores, movies, games and so forth, but I mean intentionally turning on some music.

Boosts OK.

I just watched The Matrix for the first time in about 20 years in preparation for the new Matrix movie, and dang, it has everything! Guns, kung fu, robots, slow motion, payphones, true love's kiss... what more could you need from a movie?
