Just found out about Nitter as a way to read public without going through their JavaScript madness and it's *so much faster*.

Just replace the domain in any twitter.com URL with nitter.net and it'll load it.

Alternatively consider using one of the alternative Nitter instances to reduce load on the main one: github.com/zedeus/nitter/wiki/

@polychrome Nitter rocks. It's also the only way to even use Twitter on a lot of legacy mobile device. There's a similar tool for Instagram called Bibliogram. There's also this handy-dandy browser extension which you can toggle to automatically redirect Twitter, Instagram, Youtube and a bunch of other sites to cleaner/more-lightweight frontends: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/privacy-redirect/

Similar thing to reddit teddit.net/

Would be nice if someone adds it to this addon
or on apps like untrackme on the fdroid store
