My coding time was a success! I'm almost done adding a requested feature, which makes me think it wasn't that I didn't want to code, but actually that frameworks are a pain to work with and raise the bar for entry (or re-entry!) unreasonably high.
Frameworks help keep everyone on the same page, but it also forces everyone to hold nearly the whole of how each used framework functions in their mind as they work if they want to be effective. If you don't use it for a while, you're toast.
@Alamantus this is a problem I see over and over again. I've partially formed an opinion that frameworks are a technical way to solve a human/social problem which is why they don't really work.
