Well I just bullshitted my way through an embedded OS test. The TA warned people the prof made it "stupid hard", so I kinda wound down my studying at that point. No point stressing myself out if it's not gonna help.
I dunno if I would have called it stupid hard, but it definitely had some trivia on it that I don't think most people will get.
if you're having trouble visualizing the recursive centaur i've made this helpful reference
FOSS nerds, you can't pat yourself on the back for your "moral" philosophy if it leads actively resisting attempts to reduce violence while also not doing anything to resist violence yourself.
I mean fucksake, "copyright isn't the right place for this fight."
Then give up on FOSS, entirely: you're telling me it's the wrong tool.
Unless "this fight" is greater prosperity and opportunity exclusively for the white cishet men that make up most FOSS communities, not our society at-large.
@alcinnz Contemporary example? Look at how FOSS folk have organized against the "ethical licenses."
I'm not saying they're wrong to do so, but where was this when like, their software was being used to maintain ICE detention centers?
It makes it hard to believe FOSS, as a movement, is /not/ about protecting fascism, when the only time the morals come up is, well, to protect them.
And that sucks, as someone who is both marginalized and a philosophical believer in open-source everything.
