TIL there is a form of Buddhism called Secular Buddhism.
From Wikipedia:
"Secular Buddhists interpret the teachings of the Buddha and the Buddhist texts in a rationalist and often evidentialist manner, considering the historical and cultural contexts of the times in which the Buddha lived and the various suttas, sutras and tantras were written."
I've been interested in Buddhism, but couldn't get behind the spiritual side of it, as I'm agnostic. I like this idea and am going to research it more.
@cwcopa Ooh, thanks! I'm always looking for good podcast recommendations. I'll check this out :)
@0x4464 there are many branches of Buddhism that pay little attention to the mythology of Tibethan Buddism and pay much more attention to the practical parts of it.
@0x4464 This is very much how I roll. Stephen Batchelor is my major source for it, though Rev. angel Kyodo williams is a good source too.

Do you hear podcasts?
I can highly recommend Secular Buddishm by Noah Rasheta. Esp. the earliest episodes are great.
